From L to R above, The Uncle Russ Band consists of Art Shand (Bass, Violin); John Grundhoefer (guitar); Bill Pound (guitar, flute); Steve Smeltz (percussion). We all share a love of music with 70’s -  90’s rock and dance styles in particular, but nothing is off the table as our friends will attest.

The Uncle Russ Band has been performing in the North Georgia area –and Big Canoe in particular- for over 12 years. As individual musicians, our collective experience easily spans ten times that number of years. We have established a substantial fan base and loyal following based on a solid appreciation of what we do and the music we play. To all of you we say a hearty “Thank you”!
